I was called bougie….
Employee makes $9/hr. Doing job. Asst. Manager asked employee to wash fleet vehicles (not apart of agreed upon job). My response was, no way in hell I would do that. See those guys across the street? I would take out my credit card and pay them $25 to do it.
Asst manager looked at me and smiled. I looked back at him and said “what you think I’m joking?”
He said, no I believe you. They haven’t been washed in 6 months.
Me: and that’s my fault? Those dudes over there would love to wash them weekly for you.
My reasoning: they have the equipment and means to do that job in half the time it would take me to do that. It is worth it to me to pay someone else to do it.
