I had a dad come in with two machines. As I am working on the two machines I can definitely tell the 50(s) year old machine from the 20(s) year old machine.
It gets time for us to sit down and talk about how to use the accounting program and the features that are included.
Finally at the end of the meeting the dad asks so what anti-virus software should I buy…
(oh boy)
Me: well since you are solely using that computer for the accounting software and not surfing the web I am content with you sticking with the free windows defender that came with the machine. Your son on the other hand has a problem with porn and I highly recommend step 1,2,3,4 to protect him machine and his data.
dad: he’s to dumb to remember to use his phone for the porn instead of his computer.
Me: that should be a discussion that you have with him, Not me.
Dad: he will figure it out one day. In the mean time you have job security.
